Due to its light weight construction (approx. 1 kg.) and the independent power supply (battery charged) the CALEVA THT can easily be carried from tablet press to tablet press.

To measure, the safety cover is opened, the sample placed in the measuring station and is pressed against a metal plate (connected to an electronic load-cell) moved by a hand wheel, until the sample brakes. The result of the measurement is shown on the built-in LCD in either N, kN, kg or lb. Using the supplied brush, the tablet debris and dust can be transported into the collection box located under the test station. When the collection box is full, it can be easily removed and emptied.

Calibration of the unit is quite simple. Every time the unit is switched on it fulfils an automatic half-calibration (zero calibration).
